Which term should I buy?

One month is the right choice if you want to test the service, or if you only need protection for a single trip. Six months suits a semester abroad or a contract posting. Twelve months is the best value by a wide margin and is what we recommend for everyday use at home.

Every term gives you exactly the same network, the same servers and the same speeds. The only difference is how long the subscription lasts and what it works out to per month.

How many devices do I need?

Count everything you would want protected at the same time: phone, laptop, tablet, a partner's phone, a smart TV. The device limit is about simultaneous connections, not installations — you can install the app everywhere and connect on up to the number shown on the product page at once.

What a VPN does and does not do

It does hide your traffic from the network you are using, mask your IP address from the sites you visit, and let you appear to be browsing from another country. It does not make you anonymous, does not stop you being tracked once you have signed in to an account, and does not remove the need for good passwords and two-factor authentication.

Streaming services actively work to detect VPN traffic, and which services work from which locations changes constantly. We do not sell these subscriptions as a way to watch a particular catalogue, and we cannot guarantee any specific platform will work.
